Children’s Yoga Is Fun
Can you remember what we did together in class?
Say hello to the sun
Stand tall in Mountain Pose
Arms above head towards the sun
Touch your toes
Walk the plank
All the way to the ground
Say hello to the sun.
Do these postures when you need to wake up and calm down.
These yoga poses help you when you are feeling silly, fast, zoomy and need to let off some steam
stand tall with feet apart and hands in prayer
breath in and lift the arms above your head
breath out and bring the arms down to your sides. Big out breath like a volcano letting off steam
When you need to feel strong do these poses
Warrior 1 – I am brave
Warrior 2 – I am bold
When you need to stretch do these poses on your tummy
Seal – remember to clap your hands
Then do dog pose
When you need to stretch your legs and relax at the same time Flower pose
Close Flower – stay and breath deeply
When you need to relax before bed or if you are feeling like you need to calm down do
ball pose (if you need to energize maybe rock back and forwards gently like a ball)
Shell or seed or child pose (all the same pose) Remember to breath deeply
Star fish pose on your tummy or back. In this pose Henry is hugging himself in star fish pose but you can rest your hands out to the side
Relaxation pose on your back or tummy is like star fish pose but legs aren’t so wide and arms are closer to your side.
Remember you can go anywhere in your imagination and you can make up any yoga pose you like and have fun.
